A bit lonely

i am 36, i had lots of friends in school. i was so much different now and i have made a few friends mostly through work. finding true friends is hard and it takes alot of work to make friendships last and it also depends on both parties. i still feel i don't really contact with anyone and thats what trully matters to me. mind you i am vegan, abit goth, very sensual. love shopping, fashion. so i am abit different from the norm. i love deep people are creative.

hey, im 23 i know what you mean though i think everyone goes through that at some stage i had a big gang of friends in school which was cut by about half when we all went to college and now we're all finished college its even less everyones gone travelling,diff towns etc but once you still have a few good friends to get u through d bad times you'll be fine,stay positive an see moving away as a new experience which is going to be amazing im sure :) x

Hey Fifi, I've been through that stage before. You're only 20 years old and you have your whole life ahead of you. During your working life and moving to a new place, you'll have the opportunity to gain a different life experience and it may open you up to new friends. I have to say, new friends aren't always the same as being with old friends and while it's wonderful to always have them with you, change is what develops a person. Joining some social hobbies is another avenue.

My social life is disappearing. I still have my 3 besties, plus many other good mates, but some have moved away or gone overseas. I only see a lot of them every few months, and am lucky to see any friends once or twice a week (usually a Saturday night out). I'm 20, finishing uni & moving away soon, I know its probably just a stage and we're all going our own separate ways, but sometimes I feel like I don't have many friends. It seems like it really snuck up on me- I don't know how it happened :(
