In news that may shock some of you ladies (or not?), over 92 per cent of women still have the memory of the first shoes they purchased while, alarmingly, less than two in three ladies could recall the name of the first person they ever kissed.
The survey, comissioned by tszuji.com.uk, found that a whopping 96 per cent of women said they regretted throwing away shoes, while just 15 percent felt sorry about dumping a boyfriend.
The survey was conducted using 1000 women who were quizzed about their feelings towards their shoes and what memories they can recall about their shoes compared to past romances. Experts believe that it is all down to the buying habits. The fondness for buying shoes is developed because women buy shoes for a special event or occasion like a wedding or a fun night out.
Glendon Lloyd, the director of tszuji.co.uk, remarked, “These results show that women are even more attached to their footwear than previously thought.
"Women treat shoes like best friends. And it seems their footwear memories last longer than those of their past lovers,” he added.
Other statistics state that one in six women has more than 30 pairs of shoes in their closets, while a third have trouble finding the room to store then all. Also, one in seven women have hidden a new pair of shoes from their partner.
