Addicted to love

It's no secret that a break-up can really mess with your head. But now scientists claim that suffering a break-up is actually like cocaine withdrawals. Um...what the?

Researchers at Stony Brook University in the US examined 15 heartbroken men to test their reactions to a simple math problem. The men looked at pictures of their exes and then performed a maths puzzle. They repeated the puzzle after having looked at another photo - this time of a friend. The tests showed that certain areas of the brain were more active after looking at photos of their exes - and the same areas are also abuzz in cocaine addicts experiencing withdrawals.

Guess love is a drug after all...

Love is the greatest feeling and cocaine potentially the greatest artificial feeling, surely these scientists can understand why..... **** me dead.... Pat your words may well ring true, but if when you open your eyes all you see is rats snakes and pigs well you won't be diissapointed if thats all you end up with. I have an opinion all woman are money hungry, superficial, emotional trainwrecks or was that just my experience? hmmm...

this has been known for quite some time, it's to do with the hormones released during courting, and sex (not 100% sure of the name but I think it's endorphines). they activate the dopamine recepters in the brain in a similar fashion to cocaine, being suddenly cut off from the source forces you to go cold turkey.

Power over, old age thinking, new is power with. When 2 people, choose each other as life partners, treat each other respectfully & with = value, life together more likely 2 B harmonious, children more secure. Woment have had 2 cover their bodies due 2 uncotrolable male lust, the other side of the Xtreme, women who Xpose 2 much of their bodies. Inbetween R the bushmen of the Kalahari, mostly naked, generally living in harmony. Perhaps their life philosophy is the 1 humans need 2 take notice of!

This "experiment" shows how subjective and superficial, "research" can be. What would have happened if the men looked at a picture of their mother, favourite pin up model, worst enemy. It sounds like most of you have had some pretty bad experiences with ex partners. Being sensitive to each others needs and effectively communicating that to each other is something that I am learning to find very beneficial and makes a biiiig difference in holding on to a happy and long lasting relationship.
