Sarah Palin attempts to clear her name

Sarah Palin has ditched her controversial $150,000 wardrobe in favour of good old American jeans.

The Republican vice presidential nominee caused a stir last week when it was revealed that her campaign wardrobe cost $150,000 -  and the Republican party footed the bill.

Already scandalous for her conservative views on women's rights and sex education, and her limited political experience, Palin was obviously keen to clear her name. She appeared at a rally in North Carolina yesterday dressed in jeans, a thrift store jacket and earrings she claimed were made by her Native American mother-in-law.
