My childhood dream was to move to Sydney and work in magazines. My dream came true - I am now the editorial coordinator at Cosmopolitan! Originally from Narrandera in country NSW, after high school I decided to make the big move to Sydney to study fashion. I interned at Shop Til You Drop and did a traineeship with ACP Magazines. These days, I'm PA to our editor Bron. I assist the Cosmo team and occasionally write for the mag. Right now, I love TV-and-takeaway nights with my flatmates

Au revoir

So, it seems today is my last day at Cosmo. I actually never thought this day would come. I honestly thought I would spend the rest of my working life here, at Cosmo, on level 5, just next door to Harper's, up the corridor from Shop, at 54 Park Street.

But an amazing opportunity has arisen which sees me packing up my desk, cleaning out my drawers, taking down magazine shoots and pictures taped to my wall and moving up six levels to Madison magazine. So I can't really complain.

I think I will miss just about everything: the people, the office, being part of the Biggest Selling Magazine in the World, assisting Leigh with the beauty pages, being able to talk about sex, clothes and relationships as part of "research", actually being told to read magazines, being able to go to the beauty cupboard when I run out of foundation (or any beauty product), walking two metres into the fashion cupboard to look for potential new purchases and always being up to date with the latest, greatest and newest. I have a feeling, though, that I will love Madison just as much.

Who knows, I may even be back here one day. But for now, it's so long, farewell, from me.

I heart Cosmo

This year, I will...

Warning: this is a cliched blog topic. If you'd like to steer clear of this January blogging ritual, please feel free to read yesterday's blog, which you might find a lot more interesting, if slightly less hackneyed. For the rest of you...
