Baby bonus!

The celebs earning big bucks for their baby snaps

Next week, the first photographs of Jamie-Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge's baby girl, Maddie Briann, will hit the newsstands. The young couple will have more than their newborn baby to celebrate - they'll score a million-dollar payday, too. The photos, released exclusively to OK! magazine, will net them a cool $1 million.

The first pictures of celebrity babies are big business. The first snaps of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt garnered $4 million from People, and rival gossip mags People and OK! are currently embroiled in a bidding war for the first shots of Brad and Angelina's unborn twins. Right now, the bidding stands at $15 million - all of which will be donated to charity.

One celebrity couple who opted out of the baby bonus scheme was Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. They kept daughter Suri hidden from the press for the first five months of her life, and then commissioned photographer Annie Leibovitz to take her debut photographs. They released the photographs to Vanity Fair - without a price tag.

They certainly know how to make money, how can they put a price tag on their baby if they donated that money to charity then that's fine but if they are going to keep the money for themselves then they dont deserve to be parents, your baby is more important then making money by selling photos. Go get a life Jamie-lynn and Casey. You make me sick  Report thisReport this

I don't understand why the media makes a big issue of celebritites having children. Millions of other people do it, are they put on a pedistool? I don't think anyone should sell pictures of their babies for money, it disgusts me.  Report thisReport this

Why not? its been estimated that it cost over a million dollars to raise a child, so why not get the money??? As long as Jamie-Lynn and Casey care for and love thier child then who cares if they sell a few photos. And I bet every singe person who has bagged them out for it will buy the magazine! can you say hypercrit.  Report thisReport this
