How to nail the recession
Previously, we used the "lipstick index" based on the theory that
when money was tight, most women chose to update their look with a
bold new pout, however nail polishes have now surpassed lippies on
the beauty counters.
And this isn't just an overseas trend - around Australia women are flocking more and more to mani bars to put a little spring in their step. We'll admit it - a quick mani/pedi with a girlfriend is a nice afternoon pick-me-up, and dropping a few dollars on the latest shade gives us an instant face-lift (without breaking the bank).
