How to: DIY newspaper nails

Extra, extra, read all about it; nail art is hot and there's no doubt about it! From leopard print to snakeskin... and even your loved one's mug if your name is Katy Perry or Nikki Reed, we're saying goodbye to basic block colour and hello to some seriously fun manis!

However, the latest nail art trend lets you keep your finger on the news - quite literally. Direct from NYC, newspaper-printed nails are set to be the Next Big Thing - and it's super-easy to DIY!

Here's how:
Step 1: Apply a neutral nail shade (we love OPI Samoan Sand, $19.95, 1800 358 999) and allow to dry.
Step 2: Dip each fingernail into some alcohol - vodka is recommended for best results
Step 3: Press a strip of printed newspaper onto the top of each alcohol-soaked nail. Peel back slowly.
Step 4: Apply a high-gloss top coat to seal in the print and voila! You've got all the news, right on your fingertips.

Tell us - have you tried this trend before? How did you go?
