Runway ready : For the full effect, after lipstick, “Use a metallic eyeshadow or pigment from the centre of your lips and blend outwards,” says Mirarchi. Choose a soft shimmer rather than chunky glitter, which can look too 'costume party'.

Nod to fashion: For a subtle take, “Try a shimmery gloss,” says Mirarchi. Or apply gloss just to the centre of the bottom lip. “This reflects light, making lips appear bigger.” If you’re game for colour, get a “stained” effect by pressing your lipstick on with a finger.
