Pass the salt

While most of us probably need to cut down on salt, the latest beauty craze is all about upping your sodium.

The Wall Street Journal reported that "salt rooms" are growing in popularity in the US this week.

The walls and ceiling of salt rooms are coated in salt, and a few inches of salt makes a thick "carpet" on the floor. Finely ground particles of salt are also pumped into the air, to create a "relaxing and unusual experience". Halotherapy, as it's called, is supposed to aid respiratory problems and treat skin conditions like eczema and psoriasos.
