One thing that's definitely worth it
When I hear the words "because you're worth it", I think of so
many things. I think of the advice I would give to any of my
besties if some loser didn't realise how lucky he was to have them.
I think of office afternoon tea when we happily convince each other
we actually do really deserve that third cupcake. But one thing I
wouldn't have thought of, until now, was being happy and healthy -
something that we all deserve, but sadly aren't all lucky enough to
be.
Over the last two years, L'Oreal Paris has been a proud partner of
the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation and for good reason
too.
Ovarian cancer takes the life of one woman every 10 hours. This is
not okay. The real problem with ovarian cancer is that unlike most
other forms of the disease, there is no early detection
program.
This year, L'Oreal Paris are donating $100 000 to ovarian cancer
research. Now, while I wish I could match that (and I'm sure you do
too), the reality is that I can't, but I know every little
contribution counts. To help making your donation that little bit
more heart-warming, the lovely folk over at L'Oreal Paris have just
released a limited edition 'Silver Ribbon' gift pack. Not only will
you feel good about handing over the cash you would have spent on
your fave beauty products anyway, you'll be restocking your beauty
essentials, with the amazing Lash Architect 4D mascara, a
Nutrishine by Colour Rich lip colour and an Infallible eye shadow -
all for just $39.00, a saving of over 40%. All with the added
benefit of knowing you're helping to potentially save the lives of
the ladies around you. Snaps to you!
I think it's pretty safe to assume that I'm not the only one that
longs for that new-mascara feel or a fresh, glossy lip colour to
play with. I think it's even safer to say that I am not the only
one that agrees that this deadly form of cancer needs to be
stopped. Fast.
The 'Silver Ribbon' gift pack is available in November exclusively
in Priceline stores. If you want to learn more about the Ovarian
Cancer Research Foundation or make a donation, visit ocfr.com.au or call 1300 OVARIAN.
Your money will be going towards a cause that really, truly is
worth it.
