Where fashion's finest come out to play
Like the Costume Institute Gala, the Council of Fashion Designers America (CFDA) Awards is one of the hottest events on Manhattan's calendar. Sponsored by Vogue, it's been dubbed "the Oscars of fashion," and it's where many emerging designers are given their star-studded start. In recent years, Proenza Schouler, Zac Posen, Derek Lam and Phillip Lim have been honoured, as well as veteran labels like Calvin Klein and Raplh Lauren.
This year, it was all about Rodarte designers Laura and Kate Mulleavy - and the red carpet notables. Herewith, Cosmo's guide to the best in show at the CFDA Awards.
