Glow and behold

If you have... combination skin
This complexion category usually means your skin has a tendency to change like the weather. It can be dry on the cheek area, but prone to shine and congestion on the T-zone.
The Solution “It’s all about tackling the different zones with skin-specific products, like an oil-free moisturiser on the T-zone,” says beauty therapist Gabrielle Samra. “Switch to a milky cleanser that won’t strip skin of essential oil, plus target dry areas with a vitamin-rich serum for added hydration.”

If you have... normal skin
Your skin has a smooth, soft texture and an even tone. There are no visible pores and you rarely get breakouts or dry, flaky patches.
The Solution “Normal skin has a healthy water and lipid content that keeps it supple and resilient, especially against environmental stressors,” explains Samra. “Look for products that are pH balanced and won’t dry out the skin or overload it with ingredients that are too rich,” she adds.

If you have... sensitive skin
Your skin usually feels tight, especially after cleansing, and is easily irritated. On the surface, it feels flaky and is prone to redness around the cheeks, forehead and nose.
The Solution “Hypoallergenic, alcohol-free, oil-free and fragrance-free formulas are a must in minimising irritation,” advises Samra. “A rich balm that you can layer on problem spots under moisturiser will help the skin to create a protective barrier to lock in moisture.”
