De-stress before the big day

Cut out caffeine: Caffeine is known to increase stress levels and hormones but if you’re absolutely desperate for your morning coffee hit, go ahead. Just taper it off at least six hours before you intend to hit the hay. Cutting out caffeine will not only help your body relax, it may show other positive side effects like less headaches and healthier blood pressure.
Natural remedies: Certain kinds of tea help to relax the body and mind – we suggest a sip of chamomile. Lavender is a natural ingredient known for its relaxation qualities: rub some on your temples, spray a bit on your pillow or even burn lavender oil in your bedroom.
Exercise more: It’s a well-known fact that exercise helps you get a good night’s rest. Hit the gym or pound the pavement for about 30-40 minutes, three times a week and you’ll see an improvement in your physical state and a better night’s sleep. Every time you exercise you also get a rush of positive endorphins so that will keep the stress under wraps, too.
Keep a sleep log: If you’re serious about getting eight hours sleep in this busy time, you’re going to have to organise it. And just as important as it might be to get to your cake tasting in time, it’s just as vital to twist the schedule so you get to bed in time. Make sure you plan your day so you have some down time to let go of the stress from the day before bed and don’t plan boot camp for 5am!
