THEME "Autumn elegance."
DRESS "My custom-made gown featured a
hand-beaded, French-lace bodice and long sleeves. The skirt had a
layer of champagne-coloured silk-georgette over a layer of ivory
silk-georgette and a detachable train."
VEIL "It was chapel-length in tulle and
silk."
BRIDESMAIDS' DRESSES "Inspired by autumn leaves,
the sheath-style, knee-length, stretch-knit dresses had
asymmetrical, cinnamon-coloured or ivory chiffon overlays. The
bateau necklines finished with pleated grosgrain brown and ivory
ribbon."
FLOWERS "I carried an elegant teardrop bouquet of
full honeymoon roses."
THE CEREMONY "I was surrounded by the female
guests while Noam was accompanied by our fathers and the male
guests as he approached me and lowered my veil. Friends sang in
harmony and seven family members and friends each recited a wedding
blessing."
DECORATIONS "We had two large silk-flame
'bonfires' on either side of the dance floor as it was the Jewish
festival of Lag BaOmer, during which bonfires are lit."
ENTERTAINMENT "Upbeat, Hebrew songs encouraged
lots of singing and dancing."
FAVOURS "We gave Jewish grace-after-meal books designed to match
our stationery."
