Theme "We wanted an autumn, country feel."
Dress "It was a white, raw silk, strapless dress that was cinched in at the waist with crystal details across it, and it had a full, pleated skirt."
Hair "I had it styled in a mass of curls, pulled back loosely with a crystal hairpiece."
Bridesmaids' dresses "They each wore a red, strapless, knee-length dress - one had a ruffled skirt and the other was straight."
Invitations "The front featured crystals, feathers, twigs and a burgundy orchid, and they opened up to a cream card with all the details."
Flowers "I had my dream bouquet - a mix of lilies, orchids, berries and dodder vine. The girls' bouquets were similar and the boys had calla lilies and dodder vine in their buttonholes."
The reception "After the bridal waltz I changed into various outfits to signify my cultural heritage - a Fijian tapa, an Indian bridal outfit and a jewelled Chinese brocade outfit. The MC explained the meaning of each change."
Decorations "Guests were greeted with a red carpet lined with lanterns at the entrance, along with a gold-framed mirror with hand-written names for the table seating allocations. Mocha and champagne-coloured silk chair covers complemented the burgundy tablecloths."
Entertainment "We had a DJ who played dance/house songs as well as Greek, Indian and Fijian music. There was a saxophone player who added to the atmosphere, too."
Cake "We both love cake, so we went for seven layers of different flavours, including lemon, jaffa-mud and hazelnut."
Favours "We gave guests jars filled with rock
candy inscribed with 'Michael hearts
Mary Ann'. They also doubled as place cards."
Cost "Approximately $35,000."
