Katy Perry has been getting dragged by Britney Spears fans afterKaty insulted Britney at the Grammys by making the comment “I haven’t shaved my head yet” when talking about her mental state, referring to Spears’ 2007 meltdown.
Now it appears Britney ~might~ have hit back at Katy in a subtly shady and very Brit way: a bible verse.
It’s just come to our attention that the day after the Grammys, when all the drama from Katy’s comment was unfolding, Britney tweeted the religious quote “Her mouth speaks from that which fills her heart Luke 6:45.”
A coincidence? We think not.
Britters is actually the master of the subtle shade throw. She does it in that sweet and innocent Britney Spears way that makes it seem like she didn’t even mean to, which makes it even more genius.
Take last year, for example, when there was a rumour doing the rounds that Britney and Justin Bieber might collaborate. When asked about it during a radio interview, she said there “is no truth to that at all” before telling this story.
"I met him. It's weird. Like, probably three years ago on Femme Fatale. He walks into my hotel room, and he was like a kid! Literally, he looked like he was 13 years old, but he was 16. And I was like, 'Who is this kid in my hotel? Like, what is going on?' And his mom is like, 'Is there a suntanning bed located in here?!' And I'm like, 'Who are these people?' And my assistant was like, 'This is Justin Bieber and his mother.' And I was like, 'Oh my god! I cannot believe this.'"
“Who is this kid in my hotel?” Or in other words "I'm Britney god-damn Spears and Justin Bieber was in nappies when Hit Me Baby One More Time was the biggest song in the world."
