Pamela comes out

Breaking from the mould of denial, Pamela Anderson has finally confirmed what we have long suspected; that her “success” can be attributed to a demanding, life-long career of being a dumb blonde.

Anderson, who is best known for her role in Baywatch and as a Playboy pin-up, doesn’t mind being the butt of jokes. Taking a self-deprecating approach to the frenzy that links her IQ to her hair colour, she told the UK’s Bang Showbiz, “I think it’s funny. We all have to have a sense of humour about ourselves and other people. It's definitely one of those things. I made a career out of it.”

Dumb blondes are not a new Hollywood phenomena. Celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone and Paris Hilton are names that come to mind when we think “dumb blonde.” And let’s not forget the “chicken and fish” incident with Jessica Simpson.

However, keeping with Anderson’s light-hearted attitude, we’d like to leave you with a quote from Alicia Silverstone. Perhaps Silverstone will be the next dumb blonde to “come out.”

"I think that Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
