Their new life together was chronicled on MTV's reality series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, but their love was shortlived. After months of tabloid speculation, Jess filed for divorce in November of 2005 citing "irreconcilable differences.” -
LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet - LeAnn was married to backup dancer Dean Sheremet at the tender age of 21 in 2002. The couple announced their separation in September, when an affair between Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian became headline fodder earlier this year. Citing "irreconcilable differences”, Sheremet filed divorce papers. The split will be official by June this year. -
Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas - Vying for the title of “Shortest Marriage”, Drew married Welsh bar owner Jeremy Thomas at 19 years of age. It lasted a grand total of 19 days. Drew clearly wasn’t jaded, walking down the aisle again in 2001 with comedian Tom Green. Green filed for divorce six months later. -
Cheryl Cole and Ashley Cole - After three-and-a-half-years, the 26-year-old Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge has filed for divorce this month from her footballer husband. Their married life was a rollercoaster, with rumours of Ashley’s alleged infidelities continually hitting headlines. -
Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley - The two punk rockers lasted three years, until a then 25-year-old Avril filed for divorce. They officially divorced on October 21, 2009, with Lavigne bagging their $9.5 million mansion all for herself. -
Kelis and Nas - The four-year marriage ended in 2005, with the “Milkshake” singer citing “irreconcilable differences” with her rapper husband. Kelis was 29 years-old and seven months pregnant at the time. -

Brian McFadden and Kerry Katona - Former Westlife star Brian McFadden, 28, and 27-year-old Katrona (former Atomic Kitten singer) married in 2002 and had two daughters (Molly and Lilly-Sue) before their separation in 2004. Their very public and hostile divorce was finalised in December 2006, and Brian now dates Aussie golden girl Delta Goodrem. -
Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson - The oddly matched pair commenced dating in 2002, married in 2005 and divorced two years later. Burlesque dancer Dita was 33, and shock rocker Manson was 36 at the time.
