NEWS: Ricky Gervais slams celebs at the Golden Globes
He's no stranger to controversy, but has British comedian and Golden Globes host finally overstepped the line?
No-one was safe from Ricky's sharp tongue - he opened the cermony with a swig of beer and a swipe at the network, "Tonight you get Britain's biggest comedian, hosting the world's second biggest awards show on America's third biggest network. Sorry, is it? Fourth. It's fourth."
He then went on to slam Kim Kardashian, dead-panning that "the Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton. A bit louder, a bit trashier, a bit drunker, and more easily bought."
Despite revealing that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had given him a "list of rules" which included no profanity, he later dropped the F-bomb when he introduced presenters Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, saying he couldn't "understand a f---ing word".
