Renee Zellweger steered clear of those comments made about her appearance

Who got time for that?

Back in October 2014, basically everyone lost their shit when Renee Zellweger appeared on the red carpet in Beverly Hills, "looking very unrecognisable".

The Internet LIT UP with harsh criticism and comments about whether or not she had surgery, along with the typical trollz.

Now filming the new 'Bridget Jones' movie, Renee has opened up about the fiasco to 'Entertainment Weekly'.

"What good comes from knowing that something like that happened? Less fear. Sure," she explained. "All that I know about is what friends and associates would send in texts and emails. They were sending support, which means that I must have needed it, and I prefer it that way.

"So when people come up to me to ask, 'How did that feel?' I don't know, and I like it like that. I don't know. I know it sounds pretty unlikely that a person might be able to make herself, I guess, keep clear of those words or of that experience, but I have and it takes effort. But I have succeeded."

Renee had previously released a statement to People magazine, saying she was happy people noticed a difference.

"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows. My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy. For a long time I wasn't doing such a good job with that. I took on a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn't allow for taking care of myself. Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad choices about how to conceal the exhaustion. I was aware of the chaos and finally chose different things."

And THAT, my friends, is how you eloquently handle criticism.
