Question:
I eat really well most of the time, but find that if I allow myself even one treat then I blow out and binge on heaps of junk food. Is there any way I can stop?

Answer:
Overly restrictive eating patterns are known to evoke feelings of deprivation both psychologically and physiologically. This can result in binge eating when tempting food is presented. Rather than adopting an all or nothing approach to food, try eating small portions of the foods that you love regularly. If you crave chocolate at 3pm, try having a small Freddo Frog - that way you're less likely to indulge with the family block of Cadbury's on other occasions.
