Creepy or cash cows?

The celebrities earning big bucks with dolls in their likeness

The celebrity doll industry is booming - the stars of Hannah Montana, High School Musical and Camp Rock have all been made miniature...and now, so too has Bindi Irwin.

The young multimedia star (she's an author, columnist, TV star and occasional model, according to Wikipedia) and her doll will share many similarities. Doll Bindi will sport khakis, pigtails and hiking boots. She'll also be kitted out with accessories like binoculars, a camera, a cockatoo, wombat and python.

Doll Bindi also talks. Sample quotes include, "Crikey! Let's go help wildlife!" and, "You can make the world a better place."

Here at Cosmo, we've seen enough Child's Play movies to be scared of mini-mes. We did a little digging around to find the other celebrities who've been made into pint-sized, incredibly scary versions of themselves.

this kid seems to be nice but she talks like she has a crocodile where it shouldn't be. i'm sure its because of her american mum or upbringing but i think the doll is a bit much, what about bob, their should be a bob doll as well just like ken and barbie, bob and bindi, the ring is better, does this child get any schooling even though she wants to run her dads empire, let her be a child.  Report thisReport this

i've watched alll the child's play movies and looking at these dolls there not helping. In ways the dolls make people think about there weight and they don't see natural beauti. from looking at these dolls i think there a waste of time and if the parents are smart enough they wouldn't bother wasting money on them. Also children aren't really interested in hilary duff or lindsey lohan, they watch movies about them but they don't want them as dolls.  Report thisReport this

i think if there really has to be a Bindi doll then there should also be a Bob doll , after all they are both steve's kids are'nt they......they both need to keep the legacy alive , not just bindi cause that wont be fair to either of them...  Report thisReport this

why cant they just let her be a child. by the looks of things she hasnt even been able 2 mourn her father as soon as he passed away the spotlight was on her & bob come on he must feel like he is out of place with his sister getting all the attention. look at other child stars & look how thier life has turned out... lidnsey.=on drugs & in and out of rehab. Macaulay Culkin has been busted for drugs a number of times. britney spears was a child star on talent time & look how messed up she has turned out.   Report thisReport this

What do you expect, her mother is an American and like all parents of child stars in the US she lives through her children, A few more years and we will see Bindi in the papers after being arrested for Drugs or something else. Let her be a child first, she has plenty of time to run the business after she turns Eighteen. Bindi only has one childhood  Report thisReport this
