“Classic vintage – we wanted the day to be glamorous and romantic.”
Dress:
“An oyster-toned, Italian silk bodice with French lace beaded with pearls and Swarovski diamantés, that fell into a full Italian sparkle tulle skirt and cathedral train.”
Hair:
“I wore my hair partly up and added height to the front. This kept my veil from falling flat on my face and made me look a little taller!”
Invitations:
“They were printed on simple cream, textured board and included a single, large, baroque Swarovski crystal.”
Flowers:
“Three strings of pearls and crystals hung from my bouquet of lilies of the valley.”
The Day:
“We had most of the blessings spoken in English and had booklets made for our non-Greek guests, so they could understand the importance of each part of the ceremony.”
Decorations:
“Candelabras and chandeliers gave off lighting that everyone looks good under! Oversized Julia roses sat in vases, and each guest had an embroidered doily as a placemat.”
Entertainment:
“A DJ played dance, Greek and Portuguese music, and a bouzouki player performed while we all danced around him.”
Favours:
“In keeping with our theme, we gave our female guests crystal perfume bottles.”
