Are you ready for big news? I mean, really, really, really big news? Excellent, here goes. Yesterday, I booked our honeymoon. To Europe!
Naturally, I am super duper excited about this trip. First, we're going for five weeks. Second, we're flying with Emirates. They serve you seven course meals in the sky. Thirdly, our major stop on the Continent will be France. Specifically, Paris. Ja. Door.
I've never been to Europe before, but I can tell it's my long-lost home. Obviously, the food will be wonderful and with any luck, I'll return looking like Nigella Lawson or Sophie Dahl. I plan on wearing striped boater tees with skinny black jeans and glamourous ballet flats (think Audrey in Roman Holiday), and ordering "une orange pressee, s'il vous plait" at every cafe. The weather will be lovely and specifically, not humid, so my hair won't rebel against my head for once in my life. And I'll point to paintings in the Louvre and say clever things like, "The use of colour is so challenging."
Seriously, though, I just can't wait to see Europe at last. When I paid for the flights yesterday, I did a little air punch at my desk. For real.
