Christie Brinkley now... The All-American Christie was best known for her three appearances on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the late 1970's and early 1980's, as well as her long-running contract with CoverGirl and for her marriage to musician Billy Joel. She now spends her time working as an actress, illustrator, photographer, writer, and designer, as well as being an activist for human and animal rights. Phew! -

Christy Turlington now... A then 14-year-old Turlington was talent-spotted while eating cake (apparently models do eat!) She went on to have a prolific career and is best known as the face of Calvin Klein – a position she held from 1987 – 2007. -
Christy Turlington then... -
Linda Evangelista now... Linda knew from the get go that supermodels were of another species, infamously saying “We don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day.” Her modelling career was successful (she worked for Chanel, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana) but she had her fair share of controversy – including the time she cut off all her hair in favour of a boyish, pixie style and consequently lost a number of runway bookings. Today Linda is still doing modelling and has most recently worked for L’Oreal. -

Tyra Banks now... This “fierce” supermodel started young, and soon became one of the top-earning dark-skinned models in the industry. Tyra now has her own cable show, The Tyra Banks Show, and famously settled the feud between Naomi Campbell and herself on air. -
Tyra Banks then... -
Naomi Campbell now... Naomi landed the cover of Vogue Paris as the first dark-skinned cover girl at the tender age of 17, and by the 90’s was in huge demand. Naomi is still making a decent wage on the modelling circuit, but it seems as though she spends a decent chunk of it on legal fees… -

Stephanie Seymour then... -
Paulina Porizkova now... Paulina originally applied for a job at Elite modelling agency in 1980 as a photographer, but they decided she’d be better in front of the lens. Gracing covers like Sports Illustrated, Playboy, and Harper’s Bazaar, she had huge success. Paulina has since been part of the panel of judges on America’s Next Top Model. -
Paulina Porizkova then... -
Claudia Schiffer now... She was discovered at age 17 in a German nightclub and shot to fame during the 90’s after appearing on her first cover for French Elle magazine. It’s safe to say that this German beauty looks completely ageless! -
Claudia Schiffer then... -
Elle Macpherson now... “The Body” continues to amaze the world with her effortless figure. She made a record by featuring on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue five times in the 1980’s. She since has began a series of business ventures including Elle Macpherson Intimates, a lingerie line, and now hosts Britain’s Next Top Model. -
Elle Macpherson then... -
Kate Moss now... The uncommonly short model was discovered in 1988 at age 14 and catapulted in to popularity. Landing gigs with Vogue, Chanel, and practically every other brand you can think of, Kate has made a huge success from her modelling career and continues to do so…when she’s not partying or hitting up musical festivals. -
Kate Moss then... -
Cindy Crawford now... The brunette beauty known for her signature mole made the right choice getting in to modelling – did you know she once studied chemical engineering? From studying textbooks to the runways of the world, Cindy changed the all-American girl look from blonde hair and blue eyes to sexy brunette. She stopped modelling in 2000, but continues to offer celebrity endorsement on a number of projects, and it’s obvious she’s maintained her stunning looks. -
