NEWS: Alice Dellal is the new face of Chanel
Brit It-Girl Alice Dellal (bestie of Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung) has just been announced as the latest face of Chanel.
Karl Lagerfeld has chosen the rock-chic model (she's the one responsible for that half-shaved head trend) as the new ambassador for the Boy Chanel handbag range.
Between his hectic schedule, Karl also personally shoots Chanel's advertising campaigns - and says he's quite taken by the tomboy star.
According to an offical Chanel statement, "The designer had a crush on this unique, charismatic young lady, who is both a model and muscian, during a photo shoot several months ago.
While her signature style might be ripped fishnets, biker boots and smudged kohl eyes, Karl believes she's the perfect Chanel muse. "Alice Dellal represents the perfect incarnation of all that is unique about the Boy Chanel handbag collection, which strives far from comformist notions of femininity," said the statement.
Here's a behind-the-scenes snapshot - the official campaign will be revealed in March 2012.
