Make it neon – Brights can be applied to anything but wear a bodycon dresses if you’re feeling confident or, if you’re more modest, try a highlighter silk cami with denim or printed pants.

The skater dress – The ultimate house or pub party dress. Wear with studded flat boots for an effortless chic look.

Brocade – That’s the shiny fabric with swirly wallpaper type print on it. Pick cute shorts, skirts or a dress in it and you’re set.

Short – Sorry if you’re a lover of maxi dresses, but this summer it’s time to go short. Try a loose shift dress if you’re not a fan of short and tight.

High necklines with racer backs – Plunging necklines have had their day, now it’s all about showing off shoulders and side boob.

The shoe – This summer THE shoe is thin-heeled and strappy. Look for a bit of gold detailing or studding to give your outfit an edge.

Printed pants – Whether they’re jeans or trousers, team the printed pant with a sequin top or silky top and heels for a night out.

The clutch – Get one with a strap so you’re not attached to it all night.

Statement earrings – You need no other accessory if you’ve got a great pair of big statement earrings on.

The crop bustier – Show off your mid-section with a cute pair of pleat-front shorts, or just wear one under a sheer top.
