In just over six months, D and I will be married. It's so exciting to think that this Christmas, we'll be husband and wife. Just when I'll get used to saying "fiance", I'll have to upgrade to "husband." It's pretty unbelievable - but in that awesome, "I-just-woke-up-from-a-dream-where-I-was-kissing-George-Clooney" way. You can't believe it's actually happening, and you know you're going to want to remember the feeling for the rest of your life.
So while we're counting down the next six months, we're putting the final touches on our amazing wedding. We've got the big things ticked off: reception, ceremony, celebrant, photographer, dress. We're keeping an eye on suit sales so D can get a spanking new monkey outfit, and apart from that, it's all trimmings.
The more I read about weddings, though, and the more I look through fabulous mags like Cosmo Bride, the more I've come to realise that it's all those trimmings that make a wedding special. Oh, and expensive. Definitely more expensive. I want our wedding to look beautiful and reflect our tastes, but within our (relatively small) budget. Do you have any decorating tips for me? I could definitely use some!
