As Online and Entertainment Editor, I edit the website, interview celebrities and get to listen to cool new albums for the mag's Watch & Listen pages. Every few nights, I'm a proud guest at the opening of an envelope (or at least, the spruiking of one) and my desk is frequently flooded with DVDs, books and movie passes.

Finishing touches

In just over six months, D and I will be married. It's so exciting to think that this Christmas, we'll be husband and wife. Just when I'll get used to saying "fiance", I'll have to upgrade to "husband." It's pretty unbelievable - but in that awesome, "I-just-woke-up-from-a-dream-where-I-was-kissing-George-Clooney" way. You can't believe it's actually happening, and you know you're going to want to remember the feeling for the rest of your life.

So while we're counting down the next six months, we're putting the final touches on our amazing wedding. We've got the big things ticked off: reception, ceremony, celebrant, photographer, dress. We're keeping an eye on suit sales so D can get a spanking new monkey outfit, and apart from that, it's all trimmings.

The more I read about weddings, though, and the more I look through fabulous mags like Cosmo Bride, the more I've come to realise that it's all those trimmings that make a wedding special. Oh, and expensive. Definitely more expensive. I want our wedding to look beautiful and reflect our tastes, but within our (relatively small) budget. Do you have any decorating tips for me? I could definitely use some!

I'm using wrapping paper as my Table runners, it's way cheaper than fabric runners and comes in so many colours and styles to match any theam. I'm just cutting it to size folding the ends in and putting a little tassle on the end. I have also used this wrapping papper for my invites, so my theam runs through everything.

Lots of candles instead of lots of flowers. They give off a gorgeous glow and are so cheap they are practically free! It depends on the stlye of your wedding how you display them, but since our is a bit more casual I am collecting all different sized jars to put them in, it looks really cute.
