    i've been friends with a guy since I was 13yrs and then we dated when we were 17yrs for about a year and now we are both 25yrs and still best friends.... his married to someone else, i'm married someone else and my husband and I have a kid, yet me and my ex... we still a great friendship. so looks like i'm one of the rare ones!!!

    That's pretty general... Sometime couples are attracted to eachother's personalities more than anything and in this case, you may be better off as friends. My ex and I have a much better relationship now than we did when we were together and we're both very comfortable with eachother moving on etc.

    Sorry Tangles, relationships/marriage are not the most precious thing you will ever have, far from it. They come and go far too easily these days. The most precious thing is your kids, your health, freedom, friends, family. Staying friends with your ex is possible just not easy. This is another bull**** article from a bull**** magazine!

    Bottom line is, it will always hurt, regardless of how you try put it moved on whtever, you might have moved on but theres always that what if??? U will neva truly get along with your X and your Xs partner will def not get along with you. Stop tryna be her best friend just because you couldnt have the man..... DESPERATE to be in his Life that's whata you call iT!!!!!!! Get over yoursselves it will neva be the same tryna be frends with the X!!

    I recently broke up with my partner of almost 3years, and I agree with the signs mentioned. My ex lives next door. a relationship of that sort will only certify you as a convenience, your heart will be stepped on and mistreated, and you'll be left with that reminder every single 2nd you step out your front door. So, no, very rare to remain friends with an ex. So in saying that, 'EX' is just a couple of letters between 'n' and 't' (nEXt), and move on.
