While we're sitting at the bottom of the world, freezing and shielding ourselves from the rain by hibernating indoors, rugging up and getting cosy with our nearest and dearest, the Brits are getting down and dirty.
The Glastonbury Festival (which began in 1970) is an annual celebration of music and mud. Held in south-west England each June (well, almost every June - the festival organisers take a break once every five years to recover), it's an homage to the hippie festivals of the sixties and a chance for Britain's models, singers and actresses to come out and play.
