Smoke signal

We all know how bad smoking is for your health, but did you know that secondhand, and even thirdhand smoke can do you damage?

Thirdhand smoke, the residue left behind after a cigarette is put out, is often found in clothes, cars and rooms.

Researchers at the Laurence Berkeley Laboratory have found that there's a definite health risk associated with thirdhand smok, and add that when the residue is combined with nitrous acid - a common pollutant created by cars and gas appliances - new carcinogens are created, making it even more harmful. The bottom line? Stop smoking, and stay away from those who do.
