The dangers of cyber-diagnosing

When you're feeling under the weather, do you search for a remedy online? You're not the only one...

A survey carried out in the UK has revealed that about 60% of people diagnose ailments by typing their symptoms into an internet search engine instead of seeing a doctor.

The researchers warned cyber-diagnosers that by using this tactic, they could risk damaging their health and could cause themselves unneccessary anxiety.

So next time you've got a scratchy throat, follow up your Google search with a good old-fashioned chat with your doc.
