Celebrities, Instagrammers, models and anyone with a mass following will rarely post photos of how they really look.
Well, except this gal.
Body-positive advocate Milly Smith, aka the girl behind the oh-so-fabulous Instagram account @selfloveclubb, is calling BS on society's unrealistic body standards.
On Sunday, the Instagrammer posted a side-by-side comparison photo. In one frame, Milly's wearing shapewear tights that create the ~perfect~ defined waist and also a bonus box gap, (is that still a thing?).
However, on the ~real~ side of the image, Milly pulled the shapewear around her hips, exposing her stomach.
"Same girl, same day, same time. Not a before and after. Not a weight loss transformation. Not a diet company promotion," she writes.
"I am comfortable with my body in both. Neither is more or less worthy. Neither makes me more or less of a human being. Neither invites degrading comments and neither invites sleazy words."
She adds: "We are so blinded to what a real unposed body looks like and blinded to what beauty is that people would find me less attractive within a 5 second pose switch! How insanely ridiculous is that!?"
The point of Milly's post is to show that those ~defined~ AF waists and body shapes we're used to can be an illusion. We get so used to seeing photos of women like the Jenners and the Kardashians in our feed that we forget what an IRL body looks like.
We LOVE this girl's honesty! For more inspirational posts, check out Milly's Instagram.
