Hot pink rules
Fuschia, magenta, crimson - we heart pink!
In a season where black prevails, it's nice to see a bit of hot pink coming through. I feel like we've been wearing shiny black leggings, long cardies, studs and leather for months now, even though it’s only mid-winter. And so the opportunity to throw on some colour is totally welcomed.
It's almost like designers have gone to the other end of the spectrum in contrast with what we have just been wearing. Sheers, arty prints, pretty florals and brights, such as hot pink and tangerine, are starting to hit the stores just after the sales. You can get in early by injecting your own wardrobe with a bit of pink now.
If you're partying on the weekend try a hot pink dress or cute top worn with skinny jeans and sexy lace-up heels. If you think you're too black-obsessed to try block-colour fuchsia, add a hot-pink clutch bag in contrast with your black combo or some hot-pink polish on your toes.
Even mobile phone companies have picked up on this trend with the new rose-coloured GRL Mobile that launched in Target stores. GRL Mobile is a pre-paid phone service targeting women for girls and it combines fashion, beauty, music, events and technology together just like your favourite fashion mag. Get it online at GRLmobile.com, call 1300 GRL GRL or visit Target stores.
