Ever wanted to live like a reality star à la the Kardashians?
Well now’s your chance, just as long as you have a cool $9 million US lying around (that’s a whopping $12 mil in Aussie dollarydoos, fyi).
The famous mansion is best known as the ‘home’ of mumager Kris Jenner on the star’s popular reality show, though it’s only the exterior of the lavish abode that’s used as a stand-in for her real place located an hour away in Hidden Hills, California (‘cos, you know, security and all that jazz).
However, it’s not just the Kardashians who have called this place ‘home’, with the property reportedly used as a set for the series ‘Rome’ and ‘True Blood’.
So, what exactly does a $12 million house contain?
Well, a lot of things, actually.
The inside of the manor boats a very flamboyant Italian-theme, with the entire houseadorned with chandeliers, cupid statues, stone columns and antique furniture. Oh, it also has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Just casually.
Back in 2014, Kim revealed the reasoning behind using dummy houses for their hit series, explaining,
“My old home in Beverly Hills was really my home and I would get people showing up at all hours ringing my gate and had to call the police on several occasions… People hoping the gate and scaring me.”
“It was so unsafe. The Hollywood star tours would stop by too, because they recognised my home from our show. After that we realised how unsafe it is to show the exterior of our homes.” She added, “So now we use different homes for the outside for security purposes. When we film inside, that’s obviously our real home.”
Given the fam has gone through a bunch of security scares, including Kim’s Paris robbery and Kendall’s house being burgled, we reckon it’s definitely a smart idea.
