Love is in the air...

...among TV's hottest co-stars, that is.

It's official! Last weekend, Gossip Girl co-stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were snapped by paparazzi on a romantic holiday in Mexico. The pair - both of whom are unnaturally gorgeous - were spotted kissing, holding hands and by all reports, looking very much loved-up.

If there is one thing I love more than true love, it's true love among co-stars. Lord knows, I'm still in tatters over the failed romance of Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody (so what if it's been over two years since their break-up?) There's something about knowing that the two people you're watching act like lovers really are doing the deed! It's just that bit more appealing.

I'm sure I'm not alone in studying every scene closely, revelling in the fact that each glance, each laugh and smile is real. It's almost like getting a glimpse into their real lives. And who doesn't love taking a peek into a celeb's private life? (Well, think about it … how else do you account for the popularity of Newlyweds and Celebrity Survivor?)

Truly, did no-one else's heart skip a beat when they discovered Brad Pitt and Angelina were courting on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith? Of course, they still deny doing the dirty on Jen, but puh-lease, that screen was steaming up by the second! The day those two were cast together was the last day of Jen's life as Mrs Pitt.

As for Blake and Penn, it's only early days and I definitely do not want jinx the lucky couple by talking about Splitsville. I still reach for tissues whenever I watch The O.C reruns, for goodness sake. Speaking of which: Adam, why don't you give Rachel a quick call? After all, you still share custody of your dogs … and Hayden's got nothing on you, Seth. I mean Adam.
