KitKats now come in hot cross bun flavour and our bodies are ready

Let’s be honest, the two best things about Easter are chocolate and hot cross buns. And now, thanks to KitKat, you can eat BOTH OF THESE THINGS AT THE SAME TIME.

Introducing our new favourite chocco: the KitKat Special Edition Hot Cross Bun bar.

This egg-celent new flavour features those traditional KitKat wafers, plus milk chocolate, spiced with cinnamon and ground nutmeg, currants and a white chocolate cross.

We were lucky to try Nestlé’s new product and can confirm that it does taste like a hot cross bun, abeit a really, really chocolate-y hot cross bun. There’s something about the combination of raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg that just reeks of Easter, in a good way. Basically, if you’re a fan of fruit and nut chocolate, you’re going to LOVE this.

Nestlé Head of Marketing – Confectionary, Anna Stewart, explained how this new flavour was born. “Around Easter, millions of people enjoy hot cross buns and chocolate,” she said. “In celebration, this year we have re-designed the Easter treat and created a product that will give people the best of both, by infusing an Easter classic with our signature KitKat bar.”

Keen to give it a try? The KitKat Special Edition Hot Cross Bun bar will be available exclusively at the KitKat Chocolatory Melbourne Central from March 20 until April 16 and will set you back $6.

While you’re there, you could also design your own personalised KitKat bar from a selection of 16 ingredients. Just sayin’.
