Unlike other award shows, where the ceremony takes place in a theatre setting, the Golden Globes serves up some seriously decadent food for its A-list attendees. Think of it as a bit of a tension-breaker as they wait to hear if they've won. After all, we bet losing is far more bearable when chowing down on something laden in cheese.
Tonight, the Beverly Hilton's Alberico Nunziata will be the chef for the awards, and here's what he'll be making for the likes of Ryan Gosling, Winona Ryder and Emma Stone. Bon appetit, guys...
The prettiest, sassiest salad we ever did see will be served up first, which consists of watermelon radish, grapefruit, goat cheese, and golden beetroot. Because normal beetroot just isn't enough at the Golden Globes.
THE MAIN MEAL
The tasty-looking dish you're eyeing up here is filet mignon and sea bass, teamed with a risotto, porcini mushrooms and sun-dried tomato pesto. Fancy AF. According to Nunziata, more than 800 pounds of Chilean sea bass, 4,000 pounds of vegetables and 600 pounds of filet mignon with a mushroom risotto will be served to the 1,300 guests tonight. That is A LOT of food.
Finally, for dessert, Nunziata will serve three mini treats: a profiterole on dark chocolate, an almond cake with orange mascarpone cream, and a tiramisu with a Nutella mousse. That last one sounds just unbearably good.
So, who is up for recreating this banquet for their desk-bound lunch? Yeah, we'll be eating last night's leftovers, too. Enjoy your feast, RyGo.
