Naked lunch, anyone?

It might be freezing Down Under, but in New York City, the summer heat is so stifling that folks have started to strip down.

At the restaurants Mercantile Grill and Pete’s Downtown, web marketer John Ordover runs monthly dinner parties where the dress code is ‘nude.’ Says Ordover, “If you work in a restaurant in New York City, chances are you’ve seen a lot more shocking things than a room full of naked diners.”

Also on the birthday suit bandwagon is Phoenix Temple yoga studio, which offers twice-weekly nude yoga classes.

And if you thought stand-up comedy was a tough gig, try doing it naked! At the People’s Improv Theater in Chelsea, the Naked Comedy Showcase performs once a month – in the buff.
