Seriously Sensuous

Estēe Lauder introduces its newest fragrance, Sensuous, to stores this coming Sunday. Notes of woody amber and jasmine petal make it an alluring juice, so get down to your local EL counter and take a whiff. What makes it even hotter? The four faces of the fragrance in the advertising campaign, Gwyneth Paltrow, Elizabeth Hurley, Hilary Rhoda and Carolyn Murphy, are all donning sexy, chic white shirts. Cosmo’s fave girl of the quad answers a few sensuous questions for us.

Where was the Sensuous ad shot and what does the look of the ad say to you?
It was shot at Milk Studios in New York City. To me the ad represents a woman in her natural element and that's when I believe women feel most sensuous.

What do you think of when you hear the word "sensuous"?
I think of being strong, confident and independent. I think of a woman in her natural state who is comfortable with herself.

When do you feel most sensuous?
It depends. Sometimes it's when I'm wearing really comfortable clothes and feel very natural. Other times, when I'm going out at night, I will wear something sexy and have a little bit more makeup on.

At what age do you think a woman is most sensuous?
I think a woman can be sensuous at all ages. I immediately think of women who are older, such as Racquel Welch or Catherine Deneuve because you can see that they are so comfortable with themselves and in their own skin. But you can also see it in women in their 20s and 30s.

Is there a particular time of day when you feel most sensuous?
I guess it varies with everyone. Some people feel sensuous when they wake up in the morning, but I'm more a night time person.

Are there certain types of foods and drinks that you think of as sensuous?
A steaming cup of espresso after a nice meal is sensuous. It tops off an intimate meal and is something that should be delicately and slowly consumed.

When it comes to music - are there particular songs you find sensuous?
The Rolling Stones are a great band and have a song for every mood I might be in.

Are there any material elements, such as certain fabrics, that you find sensuous?
I love wearing jersey dresses because they fall so well on the body. A cashmere throw and a great fur are also necessities.
