Porn stars explain the difference between sex for work and sex IRL

Because when you've been orgasming all day long to pay the bills, it's probably not quite so appealing when you get home.

Porn stars have a lot of sex. That goes without saying. But the sex they have on camera for work purposes is obviously very different to the sex they have behind closed doors, with people they actually care about.

I mean, for starters, sex IRL probably doesn't involve a man coming round 'to do the plumbing', if you know what I mean ;)

But it's genuinely an interesting question: does sex feel different for porn stars when it's not on-screen and they're not being paid for it?

Porn site Wood Rocket decided to get to the nub of it by asking a bunch of porn stars exactly what the differences are between real sex and porn sex, and their answers were pretty interesting.

One porn star, Charlotte Cross, said that she actually had to be taught *how to have sex for porn. "It's silly, you wouldn't think you have to teach people how to have sex, but having porn sex is completely different than having real sex," she explained.

And another, Franziska, added that real sex is more "flowing", because you don't have to worry about angles for the camera. "You don't have to, like, make sure you can see the pussy or whatever. There's no-one yelling 'open your ass!' or 'show me your pussy more!'" she said. God, she makes it sound so glamorous.

Other things people mentioned were how frequently you stop in porn sex, which would definitely ruin the vibe, I'm not going to lie. How does anyone ever orgasm if they're stopping every two minutes to get a camera in the right place?

Plus there's the difference between physical and emotional connections. Porn star Sasha Heart explains: "If I'm having porn sex, that is my job. I am coming in with a mindset that this is a person that I'm working with. I'm just there physically, that's it. It's a physical attraction, and technically I don't even need that. And she *(pointing to her vagina) understands that as well."

And then there was possibly the biggest difference, from Arabelle Raphael. "Sometimes you have to have sex with people you don't like," she said, scrunching up her face. "And you still have to get it up".

So all in all, it's pretty damn different. Well, you learn something new every day.
