NEWS: FOOTBALL AS GOOD AS SEX - FOR MEN?

Now there’s proof why (sometimes) he prefers the telly over a night in bed with you!

A European study has revealed football fans become highly aroused when watching matches, as hormone levels soar, resulting in higher levels of testosterone and cortisol.

The study was conducted with 50 Spanish soccer fans watching the finals between Spain and the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup, and researchers found that the increase in the sex hormone testosterone, was not related to fans' gender, age or football fanaticism. But the increase in cortisol during the match was higher in men than in women and also higher in younger fans.

Makes sense, right? We knew there had to be some sort of scientific reason behind why he'd choose a Friday night on the couch over date night with you…
