We all love the odd splurge on a new pair of shoes, but did you know that we spend $24,000 on shoes in our lifetime? Yep, it’s expensive being a woman.
To break it down, say you accumulate roughly seven new pairs a year and they all cost roughly $52. For style’s sake you’d need sandals, heels, boots, and special occasion footwear. Multiply that by 67 years of shoe-buying and there you have it - $24,000.
Obviously the numbers will be higher or lower depending on the individual, but according to a recent study it seems that women buy their first pair of shoes at the tender age of 14.
The study also reported that at any one time, a woman may have around 19 pairs of shoes in their wardrobes.
