Shoot it…beam it…blog it…roll it with the new FUJIFILM FinePix Z20fd

Following on the hugely popular Z10fd, FUJIFILM’s new ultra-glam FinePix Z20fd compact digital camera makes a big statement with its choice of five dazzling colours and impressive technological capabilities that let you Shoot it, Beam it, Blog it and Roll it.

FUJIFILM Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products, Matt Dole, said while the FinePix Z20fd is incredibly portable and slim - allowing you to carry it anywhere, anytime in a pocket or handbag – it incorporates an impressive array of features including a 10 megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom lens and 5.7x digital zoom.

“Available in Hot Pink, Midnight Black, Chilli Red, Glacier Blue and Wasabi Green, the FinePix Z20fd allows you to Shoot it with FUJIFILM’s innovative one-touch Face Detection Technology that automatically finds and focuses up to 10 human faces with just the right brightness and integrated red eye removal,” Mr Dole said.

“After shooting, FUJIFILM’s IrSimple™ technology allows you to Beam it to friends so you can immediately share your favourite photos using wireless communication, without the need for cables and connections.

“To Blog it, you simply resize photos or movies in Blog mode for upload to your favourite blog or video sharing site. Or you can use the handy Auction mode to stitch photos together for an Auction site.

“The FinePix Z20fd also features a new Roll it one-touch movie recording mode, activated by a second convenient shutter button, complete with simple built-in editing functions to add finishing touches to a high-quality MPEG-4 movie with sound.”

Mr Dole said the FinePix Z20fd also includes a novel Stamp feature that allows you to add a little fun to your images by ‘stamping’ a variety of fun designs on up to three detected faces in your shots.

“The FinePix Z20fd offers high sensitivity up to 1600 ISO at full resolution. When combined with FUJIFILM’s advanced processor capabilities, shooting in low light environments results in exceptional performance with less noise,” Mr Dole said.

“FUJIFILM’s Picture Stabilisation Technology uses higher sensitivities and faster shutter and operational speeds to help reduce blur from camera shake and from fast moving subjects,” he said.

Mr Dole said other features include Intelligent Flash which detects subtle lighting differences within a scene and then varies the flash intensity accordingly.

“The FinePix Z20fd also incorporates Dual Shot Mode where the camera shoots two images in quick succession – one with and one without flash – saving them both so you can select the best shot.

“There are 14 scene positions available including Snow, Beach and Party, offering a one touch setting for almost any situation.”

Mr Dole said the FinePix Z20fd combines style, colour and a range of impressive features, complete with advanced movie capture and sharing capabilities.

“Yet the camera is so user friendly and packed with sophisticated technology that even novice photographers will enjoy the camera to capture bright, sharp photos with clear, crisp colours,” he said.

Other FinePix Z20fd features include a 2.5-inch LCD screen, dual shutter release buttons for still capture or movie recording, xD/SD/SDHC compatible media slot, 45MB internal memory and self-timer.

Accessories include a Li-ion Battery NP-45; Battery Charger; Hand Strap; USB and
A/V cables; FinePix Viewer CD-Rom and Owner’s manual.

The FUJIFILM FinePix Z20fd has a recommended retail price of $299 including GST.
