Question:
What is your health advice for exam time? When I have a couple of weeks of exams there are inevitably three days in a row when you really can’t get away from your desk. Do you have any tips for staying healthy (and sane)?
Answer:
You need to have:
1) Plenty of fluids to support optimal hydration - aim for at least 1L of water and herbal tea (including green) which will aid concentration
2) Plenty of vitamin C - to help ward off stress - an orange, red capsicum and tomato juice will work wonders
3) Light protein/low GI carbohydrate based meals and snacks that will not sit on your stomach. Try reduced fat cheese and crackers, low fat yoghurt and fruit or fish and vegetables with brown rice
