How to get your guests to take notice
Last Friday an article in the wedding section of The New York Times website grabbed my attention. It seems a new trend may be on the rise in The States when it comes to save-the-dates. Instead of regular old paper notices, (which can be quite stylish, by the way), a creative couple from New Jersey turned to film to get their message across.
They had a cute little movie edited together of them riding bikes and visiting significant sites from their relationship – from where they had their first kiss to the setting of the proposal. With the sound track of In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry and narrated by handmade wooden signs, the two-and-a-half minute video had a decidedly fun and personal feel. The couple emailed it through a Vimeo.com link to their guests, saving on paper. What a great idea! You can watch their film here.
