A sneak peek at winter...
One huge trend for winter is luxe menswear inspired eveningwear. I wanted to give you a sneak peek, behind the scenes look at the shoot which will appear in our May Issue.
This is the perfect trend to pull off looking sexy and polished on cold winter nights.
My Inspiration was the beautiful shots of Lara Stone for the Calvin Klien S/S 2012 Campaign.
The trend is luxe men’s tailoring mixed back with soft feminine fabrics to stop the look from becoming to masculine. Think a tuxedo mixed with a silk cami.
We shot the Beautiful Ilona from EMG Models in Sydney.
After thinking about the perfect location for this shoot for ages, someone mentioned the newly renovated The Star in Pyrmont, Sydney. We got to set up hair, make-up and wardrobe in one of the suites at the Darling Hotel. Its such a beautiful hotel, with awesome views to be honest I was very tempted to see if I could spend the night there after the shoot and have a spa bath with views looking out to the harbour bridge.
I was so inspired by the BLACK by ezard bar and contemporary grill, is masculine cool interior was the perfect location for the trend.
Here is a couple of things I am going to try with my girlfriends when I can come back here for fun!!!

Cocktails at Cherry: Cocktail to try: Rancho Relaxo
The Darling Hotel Spa: treatment to try: Yanko Body Polish.
The Darling Hotel Pool : swimming while the weather is hot with awesome views of the city (and maybe another cocktail there too)
Also I can’t help but throw this one in but Mercedes-Benz lent us a brand new G55 AMG for the shoot. Pretty cool!!
