Dress Trends For 2012
It looks like 2012 is going to be a year of soft colors, elegant cuts and bridal-style dresses. At the Golden Globes on Jan. 15, the public was given a taste of what the dress trends are that will matter for the next 12 months.
Wholly Sexy Matrimony
Jessica Biel, Jessica Chastain, Kate Beckinsale and Elle Macpherson don’t only have their good looks in common. Each of these three beauties sported wedding gowns as they walked down the aisle — er, red carpet. Biel sported full-length sleeves and a slit that ran all the way up to her thigh. Traditionalism and sleek sexiness were combined perfectly in this dress.
Easy On The Eyes
This year’s most happenin’ dresses are eschewing bold colors in favor of creams and whites and blushes. Angelina Jolie’s garb at the Golden Globes was a perfect example of using minimal color to achieve a “Wow” affect. While many would argue that just about anything that Jolie dons will look good, her white Versace gown received a very tasteful splash of color with a red neckline and matching handbag.
On Fire
As always, red is a sexy choice for everything from evening gowns to cocktail dresses. Reese Witherspoon was a picture of sexy elegance in her glamorous Zac Posen strapless gown with fishtail.
