Timeless Treasures
16.05.2012This month the Cosmo Bride office was swarming with family wedding pics from back in the day. As they came in we were all surprised over just how timeless these days can be. From beauty and lifestyle editor Kristy’s mum’s flicks in her hair, to deputy editor Stephanie’s mum’s beautiful veil. It was amazing to see how much we loved some parts of our parents’ big days, and wouldn’t hesitate to use them in our own weddings – talk about tradition!
This sent me digging through my family’s photo albums in search of some wedding snaps. I came across this shot of my mum and grandfather on her wedding day in 1973. She was 20 (two years younger than i am now!) and even though she wore a minidress (so ‘70s!) she managed to look both modest and beautiful! Totally something I would wear for a second dress when I get married.
